WHAT WE OFFER

Program Philosophy and Curriculum

At Infinite Learning Daycare, we believe that children thrive in an environment that provides a learning experience through play. Children learn naturally through developmentally appropriate play. Infinite Learning Daycare offers safe and nurturing learning environments for young children that promote their emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development. Our program activities and materials reflect our children’s varying needs and support them in initiating their own learning experiences. Our staff identifies, implements, and evaluates opportunities and strategies to help all children’s positive and natural learning experiences. At Infinite Learning Daycare’s curriculum addresses all age groups being served.

Social, Emotional, Cognitive, and Physical Development

Children learn through rich interactions and routines in an environment where they feel safe, secure, and accepted. Our early learning environment promotes curiosity, conversations, and continuous opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. At Infinite Learning Daycare, we strive to build relationships from the first meeting to many years. Children develop socially and emotionally through rich interactions, open-ended questions, and acceptance. The indoor and outdoor environment is designed for children to explore and develop their fine and gross motor skills. It promotes development across all domains, including social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language and literacy.

Early Learning and Areas of Focus

We support the cultural and dual language learner needs through your inclusive curriculum. We provide materials to explore and a responsive teacher to help each child. Our focus with infants and toddlers is to play as much as possible on the floor, modeling language and skills as we identify objects and actions. As children transition from infancy to toddler, we will sort, stack, count, and use our bodies and movement in numeracy through songs and model language to engage with other children. As we transition from toddlers to preschool-age children, we learn to identify our feelings, how to express those feelings, and navigate participation in group activities. As children transition into preschool, we often follow their interest to scaffold learning by inserting props, asking open-ended questions, and identifying expanded learning opportunities

Learning and Social Interactions

Infinite Learning Daycare has an environment that will promote learning across all domains. We have a dramatic play, building area, art studio, quiet space for reading, and a science area for exploring. Throughout all environments, we provide tools to measure and writing utensils to document. In our family childcare, the mixed-age group setting lends itself to natural learning through each developmental stage. While infants learn many skills and gain support from preschoolers, preschool and school-age children often learn empathy, patience, and leadership skills.

Play and Learning

Children practice and reinforce their learning through play in supportive environments that allow exploration. Our teachers inspire learning through open-ended questions and the addition of materials that may extend learning opportunities.

Consistent Relationships

Infants crave nurturing relationships that are responsive to their interests and needs. The infant’s brain grows within these supportive, nurturing relationships. Interactions with people and the environment cause connections in the brain to form and strengthen (National Scientific Council on the Developing Child, 2004). When adults are responsive in their interactions and meet an infant’s or toddler’s needs, a strong foundation is created in the child’s brain that supports later learning, relationships, and development. All staff at Infinite Learning Daycare are trained on our curriculum philosophy.
